How we began

Bethesda Community (BC) was started in 1993 by Senior Pastor Philip Tan to serve the north-eastern sector of Singapore.

Ten years ago with the 1980's, Senior Pastor Philip had led a group of young man to start a new work in the Bedok & Tampines new found towns. This pioneering work among new families with Bedok & Tampines led to the building of a new church in Bedok North Avenue 3. It opened its doors for worship in 1986.

After seven years, when this church was somewhat established, the leadership also led by Senior Pastor Philip decided to gain ground by moving north east.

Thus BC was formed in 1993 to tap the pool of young parents living in the Tampines, Sengkang & Pasir Ris areas.
